Learning Russian through translation (Learning manual)

The textbook “Learning Russian through translation” includes thematic units with cultural texts and adopts an original teaching approach to learning Russian as a foreign language. It is aimed primarily at Greek-speaking students at the B1 level and above, and aims to develop skills in translating and understanding authentic texts in Russian. It is worth noting that these two main topics – customs for the Christmas and Easter celebrations – were chosen because these themes have a constant and extensive presence in Russian public and private life and are widely found in literature and art. Thus, through the textbook, students gain a thorough and ‘living’ insight into key elements of Russian culture.
